Sabûr (Patient) Reversible Shawl – Men

Inspired by a verse from Saadi, Sabûr (Patient) is a reversible men’s shawl built around an image of patience, longing and emotional restraint. As part of Tâghè’s men’s shawl collection, it combines Persian literary inspiration with a reversible construction featuring satin on one side and soft cotton on the other.

Design & Inspiration

Sabûr draws its inspiration from a verse by Saadi:

In the snare of your sorrow, like a wild bird caught, I turn and bend;
And with each restless move, the tightening snare draws in again.

در دام غمت چو مرغ وحشی
میپیچم و سخت میشود دام

The verse presents an image of someone caught in sorrow, where every attempt to move only tightens the bond further. That emotional tension gives Sabûr its literary character and connects the piece to the expressive tradition of Persian poetry.

Reversible Design

Sabûr is reversible, with:

• Satin on one side
• Soft cotton on the other

The two-sided construction gives the wearer flexibility in how the shawl is presented and arranged. Depending on the drape, either surface can become more visible, allowing the same piece to work in more than one styling direction.

Styling a Men's Shawl

Sabûr can be worn across the shoulders, allowed to fall naturally at the front, or arranged into a more structured drape depending on the outfit and occasion.
