Jâm (Chalice of Truth) Reversible Shawl - Men - Blue

Inspired by the poetry of Omar Khayyam, Jâm (Chalice of Truth) is a reversible men’s shawl centred on reflection, transience and the symbolic Cup of Jamshid. As part of Tâghè’s men’s shawl collection, Jâm combines its Persian literary inspiration with a two-sided construction, featuring satin on one side and soft cotton on the other.

Design & Inspiration

Jâm takes its name from the mythical Cup of Jamshid, described in Persian tradition as a cup capable of revealing the world’s secrets. In Khayyam’s verse, the cup becomes part of a wider reflection on what remains after achievement, joy and life itself have passed.

The design is inspired by the following lines:

بنگر ز جهان چه طَرف بر بستم؟ هیچ
وز حاصل عمر چیست در دستم؟ هیچ
شمع طربم ولی چو بنشستم هیچ
من جام جمم ولی چو بشکستم هیچ

This literary reference gives Jâm its central identity, linking Persian poetry with a contemporary wearable piece.

Reversible Design

Jâm is constructed with two different fabric surfaces:

• Satin on one side
• Soft cotton on the other

Styling a Men's Shawl

Jâm can be worn across the shoulders, allowed to fall naturally at the front, or arranged into a more structured drape depending on the outfit and occasion.
